Job Summary
The institution operates and maintains several Facilities across Karachi and Sindh, each equipped with essential infrastructure, including generators, Air Conditioning Units, Elevators, Public Address (PA) Systems, and general MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installations. A technical team has been deployed to handle preventive maintenance and address complaints related to these systems.
A qualified supervisor is required to oversee the team, ensure effective service delivery, and maintain smooth operations.
The Supervisor will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across sites. They will supervise the technical team, ensure the quality and timeliness of work, maintain maintenance records, and act as the communication bridge between the field teams and the Head Office.
Role and Responsibilities
Team Supervision
- Supervise daily activities of technical staff including lead technicians and helpers.
- Monitor performance and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback.
Maintenance Scheduling & Execution
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all HVAC and MEP installations.
- Coordinate regular inspections and servicing activities as per schedule.
- Ensure prompt resolution of complaints and emergencies.
Site Oversight
- Conduct routine visits to Facilities to ensure proper functioning of systems and adherence to SOPs.
- Verify completion and quality of work performed by technicians.
Resource Planning & Inventory
- Monitor usage of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure availability of essential maintenance materials.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, complaints, and resolutions.
- Submit weekly/monthly reports to the Head Office, including status updates, challenges, and recommendations.
Coordination
- Liaise with the Head Office, vendors, and contractors as required.
- Coordinate access to facilities and schedule visits in consultation with local facility representatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety standards and institutional protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance within the team.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in supervising MEP/HVAC maintenance teams, preferably in multi-site environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Generators, HVAC systems, Elevators, PA Systems, and general electrical/civil maintenance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ability to prepare reports.
- Good communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Willingness to travel across Sindh as required.
