As part of our commitment to holistic development, we are looking to hire a qualified and compassionate Wellbeing Counsellor.

Position Summary

The Wellbeing Counsellor will be responsible for fostering a supportive, safe, and inclusive school environment for the students. The counsellor will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges while promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing practices across the school.

Role and Responsibilities

  Student Support

  • Provide individual counselling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.

  • Support students with transitions, stress, low motivation, and peer conflict.

  • Identify students at risk and provide appropriate interventions or referrals.

  Wellbeing Programs & Awareness

Design and conduct wellbeing workshops and group sessions on topics such as:

  • Stress and time management

  • Self-esteem and identity

  • Peer pressure and digital wellbeing

  • Resilience and emotional regulation

  • Promote a culture of kindness, inclusivity, and emotional safety.

   Staff & Parent Collaboration

  • Train and guide teachers to recognize signs of student distress and manage minor concerns sensitively.

  • Conduct awareness sessions and consultations with parents to build home-school support systems.

  Crisis Response & Safeguarding

  • Respond to urgent emotional or wellbeing concerns.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Required Skills

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience working with adolescents, preferably in a school setting.

  • Excellent communication and empathy skills.

  • Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, and inclusive environment.

  • Fluency in Urdu and working knowledge of English.

Desirable Attributes

  • Familiarity with public-sector schooling contexts or underserved youth populations.

  • Certification in mental health first aid, child protection, or adolescent counselling (preferred).
