Job Summary

A Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant or café by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and guide them to their tables.

  • Present menus and explain daily specials or promotions.

  • Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the system.

  • Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally.

  • Check on customers to ensure satisfaction and handle requests or complaints politely.

  • Prepare and deliver bills and process payments.

  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining area, and service stations.

  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure correct and timely orders

Required Skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment is an advantage.

  • Entry-level candidates may also be accepted and trained.

Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math skills for handling bills and payments.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Good memory to remember orders and menu items.
