Job Summary
A Waiter is responsible for providing friendly and efficient food and beverage service to customers, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a polite and professional manner.
- Present menus and provide information about food and beverage options.
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen or service team.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and according to service standards.
- Check on customers during meals and respond to their requests.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally.
- Clear and clean tables and maintain a neat dining area.
- Prepare and arrange tables before and after service.
- Coordinate with kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth service.
- Process or assist with customer bills and payments when required.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain professional grooming and personal hygiene.
- Assist with setting up and closing the dining area.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum high school education or relevant qualification.
- Previous experience as a Waiter, Server, or in a similar hospitality role is preferred.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Polite, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to understand and follow customer orders accurately.
- Good listening and interpersonal skills.
