Job Summary

A Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and explain daily specials to guests.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently.
  • Check on customers to ensure satisfaction with meals and service.
  • Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Handle customer requests and complaints professionally.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Process bills and assist with payment transactions.
  • Follow hygiene, safety, and restaurant service standards.
  • Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service is preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, polite, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service.
  • Good personal hygiene and grooming standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Minimum Matric qualification preferred
