Job Summary
Main Responsibilities
The Video Editor will be responsible for editing daily immigration-related videos, including short reels, YouTube shorts, social media clips, and promotional videos.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Edit at least 5-10 short/long videos per day.
- Add accurate captions/subtitles.
- Improve audio quality and remove background noise where needed.
- Add suitable background music, transitions, zoom effects, text highlights, and basic graphics.
- Create engaging hooks in the first few seconds of each video.
- Format videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Follow Halani Immigration branding, colors, logo, and style guidelines.
- Create simple thumbnails or cover images when required.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and trustworthy tone suitable for Canadian immigration content.
- Deliver/post edited videos on time every day.
- Create new short-form content by repurposing, combining, and merging existing videos into fresh, engaging clips for social media platforms.
Confidentiality
The selected editor will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. All raw footage, edited videos, scripts, branding material, and content ideas will remain the property of Halani Immigration Services Inc. The editor cannot share, reuse, post, or display the content without written permission.1.
Required Skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience editing educational, legal, immigration, finance, real estate, or professional service videos.
- Ability to understand Urdu/Hindi.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Photoshop.
- Experience creating YouTube thumbnails.
- Knowledge of current social media trends.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in editing short-form videos.
- Good command of tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
- Ability to create engaging reels with captions, highlights, effects, and professional pacing.
- Good understanding of social media video formats.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Good English reading skills.
- Attention to detail, especially in captions and spelling.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to meet daily deadlines.
Work Expectations
- Daily delivery of at least 5-10 edited videos.
- Quick communication through WhatsApp, email, or project management tools.
- Willingness to revise videos when required.
- Ability to follow templates and maintain consistent branding.
- Confidentiality regarding all client-related and business-related information.
