Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support lead teachers in planning and conducting engaging learning activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 3–6.
  • Assist in developing children's early literacy, numeracy, communication, motor skills, and social behavior.
  • Help set up and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Participate in storytelling, singing, play-based learning, art, and movement activities.
  • Observe and document student progress under the supervision of the lead teacher.
  • Contribute to managing classroom behavior in a positive and age-appropriate manner.
  • Attend training workshops, planning meetings, and feedback sessions.
  • Engage with children in a warm, responsive, and respectful manner.
  • Assist with classroom routines including snack time, toileting, and transitions.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a minimum qualification of F.Sc. or B.A.; higher qualifications are preferred.
  • Both males and females are eligible to apply, with preference given to female candidates.
  • Must be permanent residents of the listed Local Councils.
  • Candidates should have a passion for teaching as a career.
  • Those with two years of prior service as Vocational Trainee Teachers are not eligible.
