Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering interactive Mathematics and Science lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Support students in developing foundational numeracy skills, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Facilitate inquiry-based learning in Science through experiments, observations, and exploration of scientific concepts.
  • Use age-appropriate methods and resources to explain abstract concepts clearly.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and supporting differentiated instruction.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in lesson planning, staff meetings, training workshops, and peer observations.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and implement feedback from mentor teachers.
  • Support extracurricular activities, school events, and field trips related to STEM learning.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a minimum qualification of F.Sc. or B.A.; higher qualifications are preferred.
  • Both males and females are eligible to apply, with preference given to female candidates.
  • Must be permanent residents of the listed Local Councils.
  • Candidates should have a passion for teaching as a career.
  • Those with two years of prior service as Vocational Trainee Teachers are not eligible.
