Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in planning and delivering English and Social Studies lessons that align with the curriculum.
  • Support students’ language development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Encourage critical thinking and inquiry through Social Studies themes (e.g., culture, history, geography, and citizenship).
  • Facilitate group work, discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with grading, assessment, and classroom management under guidance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and accept feedback for professional growth.
  • Support school events, field trips, and co-curricular activities.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a minimum qualification of F.Sc. or B.A.; higher qualifications are preferred.
  • Both males and females are eligible to apply, with preference given to female candidates.
  • Must be permanent residents of the listed Local Councils.
  • Candidates should have a passion for teaching as a career.
  • Those with two years of prior service as Vocational Trainee Teachers are not eligible.
