Aga Khan Ismailia Charitable Trust AKICT is looking for Interns Civil Engineering and DAE Civil Engineering to join our construction projects. This is a paid internship (stipend-based) role designed for fresh graduates seeking practical site experience and professional development under senior engineers’ supervision. The role is ideal for fresh graduates who want hands-on exposure to site execution, quality control, coordination, and basic planning under senior engineers’ supervision.

Role and Responsibilities

Site & Execution Support

• Assist Site/Project Engineers in day-to-day construction activities
• Monitor site works as per approved drawings and specifications
• Support supervision of civil works (infrastructure developments, RCC, masonry, plaster, finishing, etc.)
• Help in checking line, level, alignment, and dimensions at site

Quality & Safety

• Assist in maintaining quality standards as per project specifications
• Support material inspection and basic testing (concrete, steel, etc.)
• Follow HSE guidelines and report unsafe conditions

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and photographs
• Assist in preparation of bar bending schedules (BBS) and quantity take-offs
• Support checking of subcontractor work and measurements
• Help in maintaining material consumption records
• Preparing As Built drawings

Coordination

• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Assist in resolving site issues under senior engineer guidance

Required Qualifications

• B.E / BSc Civil Engineering (Fresh graduate or up to 1 year experience)
• PEC registration (or in process) preferred
• DAE Civil Engineering (Fresh graduate or up to 1 year experience)

 

Required Skills

Experience

• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply
• Site internship experience will be an advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
• Ability to read drawings (structural & architectural)
• Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word)
• AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
• Willingness to work on site
• Good communication and learning attitude
