Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections, cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and ensuring optimal performance.
Repairs: Diagnosing faults (electrical, mechanical, refrigerant leaks) and performing necessary repairs.
Troubleshooting: Identifying issues (cooling inefficiency, strange noises, electrical faults) and providing solutions.
Refrigerant Handling: Safely recovering, recharging, and disposing of refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
Customer Service: Providing clear explanations of issues, costs, and preventive measures to clients.
Ensure all work complies with industry standards and local regulations.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and refrigerant logs.
Provide cost estimates and obtain client approval before undertaking major repairs.
Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
Stay updated on new AC technologies and eco-friendly refrigerants.
Efficiency: Timely completion of jobs with minimal callbacks.
Technical Certification: HVAC/R certification or equivalent (e.g., NATE, EPA 608 in the U.S., or local equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in AC installation, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge:
Understanding of electrical circuits, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC systems.
Familiarity with different refrigerants (R-22, R-410A, R-32, etc.).
Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using gauges, vacuum pumps, multimeters, leak detectors, and other HVAC tools.
Safety Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA/local safety standards and proper use of PPE (gloves, goggles, etc.).
