Role Overview

The Technical Lead & Coordinator – Access to Energy is a core technical position responsible for ensuring smooth execution of all technical activities across A2E projects in Pakistan. This role acts as the primary technical focal point between global A2E teams, local partners, field teams, EPCs, and end-users, ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality support throughout the project lifecycle.

The individual will lead technical proposals, product trainings, solution design, case studies, and field support, while also coordinating closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee successful project delivery, partner enablement, and customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

Technical Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the main technical liaison between global A2E teams, local partners, distributors, NGOs, CSR bodies, EPCs, and end customers.

Ensure timely and accurate responses to all technical queries, documentation requests, and solution clarifications.

Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales technical activities to ensure seamless project execution.

Participate in customer meetings, partner workshops, and internal technical reviews.

Technical Leadership & Expertise

Act as the primary technical authority for all A2E products and solutions in Pakistan, including:

  • Solar lanterns
  • Solar home systems
  • Off-grid inverters
  • Solar variable speed drives (VSDs)
  • Mini-grids and other A2E technologies

Provide solution sizing, system design, product configuration, and technical validation for project opportunities.

Lead root-cause analysis and resolution efforts for technical issues in the field.

Trainings & Capability Building

Deliver comprehensive product trainings to:

  • Local partners
  • Field technicians
  • NGOs and donor-funded project teams
  • End-user communities

Develop training content, technical manuals, and hands-on demonstration sessions.

Certify partners and field teams on A2E solutions where applicable.

Techno-Commercial Proposals & Documentation

Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals, including solution sizing, BOQs, power calculations, system design notes, and compliance requirements.

Support the Business Development team with technical inputs for tender submissions and grant proposals.

Develop technical case studies, field reports, and impact documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Site Work & Field Execution

Conduct site surveys, partner site evaluations, and installation support visits across multiple cities.

Oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing at field locations.

Ensure that installations follow A2E technical standards and safety guidelines.

Support monitoring of ongoing projects and provide feedback for system improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Business Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Care, and Global A2E teams.

Provide continuous technical feedback to product development teams based on field learnings in Pakistan.

Support local partners in after-sales service, warranty handling, and technical claim processes.

Required Skills

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Electronics, or related fields.

B. tech, Electronics/ Electrical

Experience

3–6 years experience in:

  • Solar/off-grid energy systems
  • Inverters, drives, and energy storage solutions
  • Field engineering, commissioning, or technical support roles

Experience working with NGOs, donor-funded projects, or CSR initiatives is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of solar PV design, battery systems, DC/AC power flows, and low-voltage electrical systems.

Expertise in system sizing tools and energy modelling.

Ability to create technical proposals, CAD drawings (optional), and system diagrams.

Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint).

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple technical tasks simultaneously.

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 40–60% as needed).
