Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Science Teacher to teach Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, conduct practical experiments, and foster a strong foundation in scientific principles. The teacher must be able to manage classroom activities, assess student progress, and inspire curiosity in the natural sciences.
Role and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in line with the national curriculum.
Deliver subject content effectively, making it understandable and interesting for students.
Integrate theoretical concepts with real-life applications and practical work.
Laboratory Work:
Plan and conduct science experiments and demonstrations.
Ensure safety protocols are followed in the science lab.
Guide students in recording observations, analyzing results, and writing lab reports.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Prepare tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student understanding.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback.
Support students with different learning abilities through additional sessions or resources.
Classroom Management:
Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
Encourage inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking.
Use teaching aids such as models, multimedia, and technology to enhance learning.
Professional Development & Collaboration:
Participate in teacher training programs and staff meetings.
Communicate regularly with parents about student performance.
Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular activities and school events.
Required Skills
Skills Qualification:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science or relevant field (preferably with majors in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology).
B.Ed. or teacher training certification preferred.
Proven experience teaching science subjects at the secondary level.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
