Job Summary

AKES, Pakistan - Education Office, South, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill the following position at Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan School, Karachi.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress regularly
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and behavior
• Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline techniques
• Integrate storytelling, activities, games, and hands-on learning to build foundational skills
• Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
• Support the holistic development of students, including social and emotional growth

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field
• Teaching certification preferred
• Strong command of primary-level subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate young children
• Creative, patient, and child-centered teaching approach
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

 

• Final recruitment will depend on the availability of positions in each category.

• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in the relevant subject/content.
• Negative marking of 0.25 will apply for each incorrect answer in the CBT.
