Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Sweeper for Aga Khan Health Service, Gupis, Ghizer.

Role and  Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Sweep, mop, and disinfect hospital floors, corridors, waiting areas, and wards.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and other washroom facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, ICU, operation theaters, and emergency areas.

Waste Disposal:

• Collect and dispose of general and medical waste following hospital guidelines. (Medical waste is disposed of through incineration.)
• Separate biohazardous waste and place it in designated containers.
• Ensure timely removal of trash from bins to prevent contamination.

Sanitization & Infection Control:

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, railings, and reception desks.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of infectious materials.
• Use approved disinfectants and cleaning agents to prevent hospital-acquired infections.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to hospital policies regarding hygiene and infection control.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning tasks.
• Report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, or broken tiles) to the supervisor.

Support Services:

• Additional knowledge and experience in washing and maintaining bed linen.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests.
• Refill and restock cleaning supplies as needed.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Middle/Matric Preferred 
• Good Communication Skills
• Punctual
