Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and diligent Sweeper to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sweeping, cleaning, and ensuring that all public and private spaces are free from dust, dirt, and debris. This role is crucial to maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep and mop floors, hallways, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclable materials in designated bins and ensure proper waste management.
  • Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas, such as parking lots, sidewalks, and courtyards.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Report any maintenance issues, such as damaged flooring or broken equipment, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed, such as dusting, wiping down surfaces, or cleaning windows.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with others.

Required Skills
  • Skills & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work is a plus, though on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Physical Fitness:

    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
    • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
    • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper usage (if applicable).
    • Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours.
  • Work Ethic and Attitude:

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Reliability and punctuality in showing up for shifts and completing duties.
    • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
