Job Summary
The Supply Chain Officer at V3 Engineers will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the end-to-end supply chain activities required to support the company’s engineering and construction projects. The position will ensure that electrical, mechanical, plumbing, construction, and other project-related materials are procured and delivered to the relevant project sites on time, at the right quantity and quality, and at the most competitive cost.
The officer will work closely with Managing Directors, project managers, engineers, site teams, finance, stores/warehouse personnel, suppliers, contractors, and logistics providers to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials and equipment. The role will also establish systematic procurement, inventory, warehousing, and supplier-management processes that promote efficiency, transparency, cost control, and compliance with company policies. The role will also include preparing IPCs and processing them with clients for timely release of bills and payments.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute procurement of project materials/supplies
- Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries.
- Establish and maintain an inventory management system for all project and maintenance materials.
- Monitor stock levels and implement reorder points to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, transfers and stock balances.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics of materials to project sites across project locations
- Perform periodic physical stock counts and reconcile inventory records.
- Prepare procurement, inventory and consumption reports for management.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approved budgets.
- Preparation of Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and coordination with clients for release of IPCs/Bills/payments
- Support project teams in material planning and demand forecasting.
Required Skills
Skills And Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
- 3-5 years of relevant procurement and inventory management experience, preferably in construction, MEP or engineering projects.
- Experience managing suppliers, contracts, stores and inventory systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/procurement software.
