Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end import process, including documentation, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery.
  • Ensure all import activities comply with national and international regulations (e.g., customs, trade compliance, HS codes).
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to track and expedite shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as procurement, finance, and warehouse to align delivery timelines and documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all import activities and documentation (invoices, B/L, packing lists, etc.).
  • Monitor and optimize freight and duty costs.
  • Resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or non-compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in import/export laws and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Checking daily, weekly, monthly prices of all existing products and share comparisons for order placement.
  • Managing Sales Contract, performa invoices, payment and delivery terms etc for confirmed orders.
  • Managing funds and payment as per performa invoices, shipment nomination and documentation for smooth shipments.
  • Monitor the vendor profile, performance, challenges and get regular feedbacks regarding order placement, shipments, payments and resolve issues if any.
  • Finding new vendors for existing products for competitive advantage and on board after verification of certification, profiling and documentation along with samples arrangement, approvals from R&D and  induct new product line to expand the business.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in import/export or international logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
  • Proficiency in documentation handling and clearance procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or logistics systems is a plus.
  • Good Knowledge of LC, Bank contract, collection documentation and processing with different bank along with a good knowledge of UCP 600.
  • Sound Knowledge of IPO 2022, HS codes, duties structures, duty benefits with referece to COO, FTA and other international certificates.
