Job Summary

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient repair, maintenance, and overhauling of all mechanical and plumbing-related equipment to ensure trouble-free operation and to the satisfaction of the users. Further, you are also responsible for competently supervising work orders through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensuring that the departmental KPIs must be maintained with the existing targets. Also, you will be encouraged to promote innovative ideas for energy conservation and cost-effectiveness. 

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • Troubleshoot, rectify, and solve the problem by proper utilization of resources like material, tools, and manpower
  • Curtail over time and ensure that overtime formalities are prepared with a proper section of all available resources
  • Coordinate with the Immediate Engineer to review the job allocation sheet at least twice a day to streamline the areas, workload, and emergency complaints
  • Coordinate Planned Preventive Maintenance activities of his area and equipment for successful maintenance and prepare a list of parts and manpower requirements
  • Make imminent decisions for the replacement/disposal of equipment and purchase new equipment in consultation with the Senior Engineer
  • Inspect and certify all the jobs done to ensure that they are done according to specified standards
  • Prepare and forward the equipment parts replacement request to the respective engineer for further processing
  • Provide training to junior staff to improve their skills and make a proper record of the training
  • Ensure the staff follows the dress/uniform code and abides by set duty timing and proceeds on scheduled/emergency leaves as planned
  • Give input to the respective Engineer, on the design drawing, prior to giving approval to the Design & Construction department from the Maintenance Division
  • Any other related task as assigned by Engineer. 

Required Skills
  • Matriculation. DAE / Intermediate will be preferred
  • Minimum of 05 to 07 years of relevant experience including 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience
  • Analytical abilities with problem-solving skills 
  • Be able to read piping and instrument drawings
  • Ability to diagnose complex repair/maintenance problems and rectify them economically and effectively
  • Supervisory, good communication and report-writing skills.
