To provide academic, emotional, and social support to students aged 12–17 residing in NJV’s boarding facility. Student Mentors play a critical role in helping students adapt to boarding life, succeed academically, build life skills, and develop into responsible, confident, and independent young adults.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Pastoral Care & Well-Being: Support mentees with personal, social, or emotional
concerns; monitor welfare and encourage healthy habits.
Academic Support: Supervise study sessions, track academic progress, and provide
guidance in study techniques.
Life Skills & Independence: Teach personal organization, teamwork, punctuality,
and self-care.
Behavior & Discipline: Model integrity, apply discipline fairly, and encourage peer
respect.
Activities & Enrichment: Organize evening/weekend activities, cultural programs,
and community-building events.
Health, Safety & Welfare: Ensure student safety, respond to emergencies, and
maintain safeguarding standards.
Communication & Liaison: Coordinate with staff, update parents, and attend
meetings and training
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, Social Sciences preferred).
Experience working with adolescents (12–17), ideally in residential or pastoral roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Urdu and English required).
Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
Ability to handle challenging behavior with fairness and resilience
Commitment to child safeguarding and welfare.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as per roster.
First Aid training (preferred, can be provided by NJV)
