Job Purpose:
To manage and control the Finished Goods (FG) Store by ensuring accurate receipt, safe storage, proper handling, and timely dispatch of bakery products to distribution points. The role ensures that finished goods are stored under ideal conditions, inventory is accurately recorded, and delivery timelines are met in coordination with the sales and logistics teams.
Role and Responsibilities:
Finished Goods Receiving
Receive finished bakery products from the production area after quality clearance.
Verify quantities and quality as per production reports and QC release notes.
Ensure accurate documentation (batch numbers, production dates, expiry dates, etc.) for traceability.
Record all incoming goods in the FG register or ERP system.
Store products under appropriate temperature, humidity, and hygienic conditions to maintain product freshness and safety.
Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expire-First-Out) principles for product dispatch.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records—both manually and digitally.
Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, and monthly) and reconcile with system balances.
Identify and segregate damaged, expired, or returned products for proper disposal as per company policy.
Prepare dispatch plans based on delivery schedules from Sales/Distribution departments.
Supervise loading and unloading activities to ensure correct quantities and prevent damage.
Prepare and verify delivery challans, invoices, and gate passes for all outgoing consignments.
Coordinate with logistics and transport departments for vehicle arrangement and route scheduling.
Track and update dispatch records for accountability and audit purposes.
Liaise with Production, Quality Control, and Sales teams for accurate dispatch planning.
Communicate shortages, stock discrepancies, or delays promptly to management.
Ensure close coordination with the Raw Material Store and Procurement team for packaging material requirements.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the Finished Goods Store as per food safety standards.
Follow safety protocols for handling bakery products (temperature-sensitive or fragile items).
Ensure pest control and regular sanitation of storage areas.
Participate in internal and external audits and provide required records and reports.
Skills and Qualification:
Education: Matric/ Intermediate or Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a Store Keeper / Store In charge.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of stock management systems or ERP software.
Understanding of bakery product shelf life and handling requirements.
Proficiency in MS Excel and record-keeping.
