The English and Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of both the English language and social studies concepts. The teacher will design and deliver lessons that encompass reading, writing, literature, history, geography, government, and economics, helping students connect these subjects to the real world and develop strong communication and analytical skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive lessons in English language arts and social studies that align with curriculum standards.

• Foster critical thinking and inquiry-based learning through a combination of literature, writing, historical events, geography, and social issues.
• Encourage student participation and collaborative learning within both the English and social studies contexts.
• Facilitate hands-on activities, discussions, and projects that integrate both English and social studies topics, promoting real-world connections.
• Assess and monitor student progress in both subjects, providing timely feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and areas for development in both subjects.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities to stay current on educational practices.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Social Studies, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for language, literature, history, geography, and social issues, with a commitment to promoting student curiosity and academic growth.
