Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

Reporting to Manager, Academic Computing you would be responsible to work with the faculty and the course designers for the development of Blended and Digital Learning course sites and providing technical support and training for the delivery of the courses. You would also be expected to explore technologies and form up recommendations for improving the use of technology in teaching such as AKU’s Learning Management System.

Specifically, you will be responsible to;

  • Working with the Provost office for supporting Faculty Development Program Cohorts
  • Exploring and implementing more enhanced use of technology for teaching
  • Supporting courses and programs across the University
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent

  • Relevant certifications are an added advantage

  • E-learning and M-Learning platforms

  • Experience of working on related technology

  • HTML, and or PHP development

  • Learning Management Systems

  • The person must be an expert in evolving technologies related to E-Learning such as Learning Management Systems specially Moodle

  • Have sound knowledge of innovations in the industry related to the same field

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with record of good customer orientation.
