Role and Responsibilities:

  • This is a full-time, on-site Solar Technician role based in Karāchi.
  • The Solar Technician will install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial solar power systems, including panels, inverters, and related equipment.
  • Daily responsibilities include performing site assessments, wiring and mounting components, testing system performance, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure optimal power generation.
  • The role also involves following safety procedures, documenting work performed, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and providing basic system operation guidance to clients. The technician will support ongoing maintenance schedules and respond to service calls to uphold high standards of reliability and customer satisfaction.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Knowledge of solar systems and solar power technologies, with hands-on experience installing and maintaining equipment.

  • Understanding of the solar industry and power generation concepts, including grid-tied and off-grid solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical components within solar installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical principles, tools, and safety standards (e.g., PPE use, lockout/tagout).
  • Physically able to work at heights, on rooftops, and in outdoor environments, and to lift and carry equipment as needed.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented approach when interacting with clients and team members.
  • Relevant technical diploma or certification in electrical, renewable energy, or a related field; prior experience as a solar or electrical technician is an advantage.
