Job Summary
A leading national NGO is planning to launch a four years’ project funded by an INGO with a title “Improving access to disability specific CNICs and social protection schemes”. The project will be implemented in nine districts three in each province in KP, Punjab and Sindh three districts in each province.
Main Responsibilities
- Community mobilization and organization through awareness raising, and close coordination with communities.
- Formation of SHG, Community Committees and Community forums through participatory approach while ensuring participation of person with disabilities
- Conduct awareness raising sessions in the communities about key topic the project is working on.
- Facilitate community groups trainings
- Providing assistance to Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation officer in documenting key lesson learnt and human interest stories
- Coordination with key community stakeholders specially person with disabilities and their representative groups
- Introduce project in the communities and ensuring their participation in the project activities with a focus on person with disabilities
- Identification and assessment of beneficiaries for the assistance provided by project.
Required Skills
- Maters in Social Sciences from a reputable and recognized university
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in community mobilization in a national NGO
- Knowledge about tools and process of Social Mobilization is required
- Fluency in local languages Pushto, for Nowshehra/Peshawar and Seraiki for D.I Khan and Minawali is essential local candidates from project interventions districts is preferred
- must Ability to communicate effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literate
