Ceena, an organization working for the education, care, and overall development of disadvantaged children invites applications from qualified and experienced female candidates for the position of Senior Program Officer & Head of Student Affairs at its office in Gilgit City.

Employment Type: Full-Time (8 hours per day)
Minimum Age Requirement: 35 years
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of Education)

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day administration and smooth functioning of the hostel facilities (including separate girls' and boys' wings).
  • Ensuring the safety, well-being, care, and support of all students residing at the Empowerment Center.
  • Supervising and guiding hostel and ancillary staff and ensuring the timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Addressing students' needs, concerns, and day-to-day issues with care, sensitivity, and professionalism.
  • Maintaining discipline and ensuring compliance with the organization's rules, regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Upholding high moral, ethical, educational, and safeguarding standards within the Empowerment Center.
  • Designing and implementing educational, recreational, and co-curricular activities for students.
  • Coordinating with schools, teachers, parents/guardians, and other relevant stakeholders regarding students' academic and welfare matters.
  • Attending school meetings and events and maintaining proper records and documentation.
  • Maintaining and updating students' academic records, including examination results, attendance, and progress.
  • Preparing, writing, and editing activity reports.
  • Supervising appropriate records of hostel activities, supplies, and student-related matters.
  • Supervising meal planning and ensuring appropriate arrangements for students' meals and daily requirements.
  • Supervising procurement of supplies and ensuring proper stock management and inventory records.
  • Identifying students' concerns and coordinating with relevant staff or professionals when additional support is required.
  • Performing any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervising authority.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant experience in hostel/residential facility administration, student affairs, education, child care, or social-sector organizations.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Good leadership and staff supervision abilities.
  • Basic computer and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Canva and digital record keeping.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain records
  • Ability to maintain discipline while dealing with children with patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Knowledge of procurement, stock management, and inventory maintenance.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to routine and unexpected situations.
  • ELEP educators will be given preference
