Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Senior Pharmacy Assistant base at Aga Khan Diagnostic Center, Chitral.

Role and Responsibilities:

Prescription Support & Dispensing**

•  Receives and processes prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
•  Assists in preparing and dispensing medicines accurately.
•  Labels and packages medications as per hospital guidelines.

Patient Support.

• Provides basic information to patients on medicine collection and usage (non-clinical).
• Directs patient queries to the pharmacist when clinical advice is required.

Stock & Inventory Management.

• Assists in maintaining stock levels of medicines and supplies.
• Monitors expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Helps in ordering, receiving, and shelving stock.

Administrative & Record Keeping.

• Maintains records of medicine supply and dispensing.
• Assists in documentation of controlled drugs as per hospital regulations.
• Supports billing and prescription entry in hospital systems.

Compliance & Safety.

•  Ensures cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
•  Follows hospital policies and legal requirements related to pharmacy operations.
• Assists in safe disposal of expired or damaged medicines.

Required Skills

Qualifications & Experience:

• Pharmacy Diploma
• 2 years relevant experience  
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to speak and understand job related English, sufficient to carryout nursing care instructions.
• Demonstrate polite and courteous behavior at all time.
• Demonstrate positive attitude to those in authority.
• Ability to give oral instructions / information to patients and visitors in Urdu
