Job Summary

As Senior Manager Audit / Head of Audit, you will be responsible and accountable for the successful completion of audit engagements as per the annual audit plan and to supervise other staff members in their audits to ensure successful completion of their tasks.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of audit entities within Pakistan including Jamati Institutions and legal entities and ensuring completion of financial, management, construction and social audits as per audit plan.
  • Preparing the audit universe to ensure compliance with audit methodology (including audit risk assessment) and external (regulatory) requirements to identify high risk areas.
  • Providing regular qualitative and quantitative feedback to Office Bearers, Board and relevant stakeholders.
  • Attending meetings of the GRB Board, Audit Committees of legal entities, as and when required.
  • Completion of the reporting packs for Audits, Status Reports, and open issues and major observations, as required.
  • Developing and maintaining contacts with portfolio members, external stakeholders and departments on an ongoing basis, to build and enhance relationships and trust.
  • Liaising with and managing the TKNs and Subject Matter Expert, whenever they are recruited for assignments.
  • Coordinating and creating templates for best practice tests, follow ups, updating audit manuals as they impact the efficient running of audits.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements in Internal Control, Policies, Regulatory Compliance and Risk management in accordance with best practices
  • Conducting special assignments, enquiries, due diligence and providing timely initiation, well-planned execution and completion of audits, as per standard time required and within budget
  • Carrying out regular follow-up with the institutions for any outstanding recommendations and ensure timely implementation.

Required Skills

Eligibility:

  • An ACA / ACMA or ACCA a Master's Degree in relevant discipline with additional certifications in Internal Audit such as CIA/CISA would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, working with the audit firms and / or development sector will be an added advantage.
  • Has a flexible schedule to accommodate a non-traditional work-load, including working evenings and/or weekends.
  • Ability to plan and execute audit including reporting and supervision of team.
  • Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as academic, health, construction, finance, technology, operations, or investigations
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to converse and write effectively in English, especially report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to be able to build excellent working relations with stakeholders and team.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage and complete several reviews and/or projects.

Ability to establish, evaluate and assess processes, ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately.

The package would be commensurate with qualification, experience and market.
