Job Summary

The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will create an engaging and challenging classroom environment that fosters a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and promotes critical thinking. The teacher will deliver lessons, facilitate problem-solving activities, and encourage inquiry-based learning to help students develop essential mathematical skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver interactive mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Design and implement problem-solving activities to encourage student inquiry and application of mathematical principles.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer additional support as needed.
  • Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and collaboration in the classroom.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that supports student growth.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate mathematical concepts across subjects and enhance overall learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching strategies and educational trends.
  • Contribute to school events and initiatives to support the broader educational community.

Required Skills

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to create hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Familiarity with current secondary mathematic curricula and educational technologies.
