Job Summary

A Science Teacher is responsible for teaching scientific subjects to students, helping them understand scientific concepts, and encouraging curiosity about the natural world.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons according to the school curriculum.

  • Teach subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or general science.

  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and teaching materials.

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations.

  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through tests, quizzes, and projects.

  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

  • Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.

  • Provide guidance and support to students who need extra help.

  • Communicate with parents and school staff about students’ progress.

Required Skills

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).

  • A teaching qualification such as B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is usually required.

Experience:

  • Previous teaching experience in a school or educational institution is preferred.

  • Fresh graduates with teaching training may also apply.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and subjects.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to explain complex topics in a simple way.

  • Classroom management skills.

  • Ability to prepare lesson plans and learning materials.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
