Job Summary

A Science Teacher is responsible for teaching scientific concepts, encouraging curiosity, and helping students develop practical and analytical skills through classroom lessons and experiments.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons according to the curriculum
  • Teach subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations safely
  • Evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, and classwork
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
  • Encourage critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills
  • Use teaching aids, lab equipment, and technology effectively
  • Prepare students for exams and academic success
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school activities
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or relevant subject
  • Teaching qualification or certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good classroom management abilities
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans and assessments
  • Experience in conducting laboratory experiments safely
  • Ability to motivate and guide students
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and use of teaching technology
  • Professional, punctual, and responsible attitude
  • Ability to maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
