Job Summary

School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, supporting students’ academic and personal development, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and assessing students’ progress.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons according to the school curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, activities, quizzes, and examinations.
  • Explain concepts clearly and use appropriate teaching methods to support different learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor students’ academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage students to develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding students’ progress and development when required.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, training programs, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support student development.
  • Follow school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Perform other teaching-related duties assigned by school management

Required Skills

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, the relevant subject, or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred, particularly in a school environment.
  • Good knowledge of the relevant subject and school curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom-management skills.
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and use engaging teaching techniques.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
  • Good assessment and student-support skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology is an advantage.
  • Patient, responsible, approachable, and committed to students’ learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
