Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
Scholarships AKEB
- Handling various processes to hold scholarship seminars and ensuring the smooth running of the event.
- Preparing and delivering scholarship presentations (if advised by the head/manager of Scholarships).
- Marketing and launching of the scholarship programs.
- Processing formal Application Forms.
- Correspondence with students regarding queries and information
- Preparing, sending, and following up on social welfare Board (SWB) checks from Aga Khan Social Welfare Board’s representative(s).
- Preparing student profiles for interviews according to the region(s) assigned by the Manager Scholarships.
- Preparing grading sheets and marking essay / personal statement ratings of each student.
- Conducting pre-interview process.
- Attending scholarship interviews and taking notes (if advised by the head/manager)
- Develop a recommendation report of each recommended candidate based on interview results and panel evaluation according to the region(s) assigned by the Manager Scholarships.
- Preparing acceptance/regret letters to the candidates. (For AKEB Scholarship only).
- Facilitating preparing Merit List and in making a presentation to be presented to the AKEB, P.
- Preparing scholarship interview presentation/report for Decision Making Panel (Office Bearer)
- Developing/Reviewing AKEB Scholarship policies & procedures as and when required.
Maintain Renewal Process
- Sending the renewal letters
- Verify and process submitted documents.
- Prepare sanction/regret letters along with Terms & Conditions.
- Prepare the Repayment schedule & process the loan documents.
- Initiate payment processes.
- Update student payment records
Follow-ups of the renewal
Alumni Tracking:
- Tracking and updating the Alumni database.
Data Entry in Educational Assistance Software (EAS):
- Enter the data of AKEB Scholarship recipients and alumni in Educational Assistance Software.
Annual Basis Universities/institutions assessment
- Identification of universities for assessment.
- Assessing universities via different channels/mediums.
- Presenting assessment details to the Scholarship Committee and obtaining approval on the ‘list of approved universities for AKEB Scholarship Programme’.
Required Skills
Qualifications and Experience·
- Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in scholarship, training, or education programme management.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination, community engagement, and partnership development.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data management tools.
- Ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
