Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant with proven experience in commodity sales (e.g., metals, grains, oil, energy, or other traded raw materials). The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic selling of commodities to B2B or institutional clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of clients in the commodity sector.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Conduct market research to monitor trends, pricing, and demand within the commodity sector.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients and suppliers.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations and follow up on proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and product information to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, procurement) to ensure smooth execution of deals.
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in commodity sales or trading.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing mechanisms, and trading practices.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in fast-paced, volume-driven environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings or trade events.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in specific commodities such as metals, agricultural products, or energy.
  • Multilingual capabilities (especially if dealing with international markets).
  • Familiarity with trading platforms or commodity exchanges.
