ITREBP invites applications for the role of Safety and Security Officer, Head Office. The successful applicant will be responsible to closely work with senior management and security personnel while reporting under the Manager Administration to implement disaster risk reduction and emergency preparedness programs throughout the organization. Particular recognition will be given to address the seismic hazard throughout the region. The safety & security officer will be expected to research and apply international good practices, and to collaborate with counterparts within the AKDN. Additionally, responsible to manage COVID related updates and reporting. It is also expected from him/her to provide 24/7 on-call responses/assistance.
Required SkillsThe ideal candidate should be a dynamic, energetic committed and self-motivated team player. S/he must be proficient in the investigation and people management skills along with hands-on experience of MS Office and good written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. The position requires travelling across the country and sometimes in extreme weather conditions. S/he should be physically fit with age bracket less than 45 years and able to lead emergency response teams during simulate and actual emergencies.
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree with a relevant diploma or certificate courses related to DRMI, security, first aid or firefighting along 3 to 4 years of relevant experience. Accredited educational qualifications in occupational safety and health, and/or a desire to study in the field of work safety & security through intensive self-study, extensive use of online learning, or formal class-based learning will be preferred.
