Job Summary

Red Crescent is currently accepting applications against the position of Restoring Family Links Officer.

The RFL Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of specific activities in favor of persons that the PRCS aims to help under its Restoring Family Links services.

  • Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities Performs internal and external follow-up of individual requests linked to RFL
  • Collects, compiles and translates RFL-related information as per set procedures
  • Ensures smooth and timely flow of information on individual cases between various sites
  • Prepares, participates in and reports on all aspects of field visits and external meetings
  • Ensures timely response to incoming inquiries and provide necessary advice and support to field staff and volunteers
  • Undertakes filing and archiving tasks as per procedures
  • Contributes to reporting and collection of statistical data
  • Contributes to the design and implementation of projects and field activities
  • Contributes to capacity building activities of staff and volunteers
  • Translates simple documents between national language and English
  • Organizes appointments, receives and interviews persons coming to office to launch family news requests
  • Interprets or translates upon request

Required Skills
  • Understanding of protection, human rights, international law, refugee law and humanitarian principles
  • Understanding of project design, management and implementation of field-based protection programs
  • Understanding of programmatic reporting
  • Understanding of budgets and financial reporting
  • Excellent computer skills, inclusive of Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong coordination and advocacy skills.
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written) in English and Urdu. Knowledge of Dari and Pashto an asset
  • Capacities of self-training and integration of new tools and methodologies 
  • Good skills in drafting official correspondence and minutes of meetings
  • Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow work plans
  • Education: Masters /16 Years education in social sciences preferably psychology, sociology, social work, anthropology and law.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' work experience preferably in protection related activities in humanitarian sector. Previous experience involving program design and monitoring will be considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to travel into the fields for conduct of monitoring & other related tasks.
  • Maximum age limit up to 45 years.
