Job Summary

The Resource Mobilization Officer is responsible for working closely with fundraising/program teams, and external stakeholders, maintaining the complete data of the receipt and pelages, and providing in-kind support to sustain and expand funding activities. The Officer will assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, assist in fundraising events, and donors’ communication/activities.

The position will report to the Assistant Manager Resource Mobilization. This is a full-time position based in Karachi.

Funds Reporting and Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with program teams to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes. Also, ensure to maintain data in various systems and databases.

  • Prepare funds collection reports on a bi-monthly and monthly basis for specific programmes.

  • Responsible for maintaining files, and retaining relevant records, pledge records, and coupon records.

  • Assist the Auditors (external/internal) in arranging the required information.

  • Manage inventory and stationery requisition and keep a record of its disbursement.

  • Request procurement of relevant stationery items for the smooth functioning of fundraising campaigns.  

Marketing/ Communication and Campaign Management

  • Assist in organizing fundraising events, including logistics coordination and volunteer management.

  • Provide support in donors’ communication, including thank-you letters and donor recognition. Also, maintain up-to-date records of donor communication.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams and assist in developing fundraising materials, including presentations, brochures, success stories, campaign-wise communication, etc.

Operations and Logistics Support

  • Liaison with Assistant Manager Resource Mobilization for approval of day-to-day activities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, finance personnel, administration, and marketing staff to achieve fundraising goals.

  • Maintain daily filling and documentation.

  • Monitor regular follow-ups of ongoing programs/ campaigns, messages, and emails.

  • Assist in the implementation of Resource Mobilization software and its timely rollout.

Contingencies:

Any other task consistent with the scope of work and needs of the institution if and when required.

Required Skills

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the social and development sector.

  • Should have a fair knowledge of marketing, donor management, and communications.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, meet stringent deadlines, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

  • Professional and/or voluntary experience of working with community welfare organizations and services will be an added advantage.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Professional degree in Commerce/ Finance/ Business Administration OR equivalent

Skills and Attitudes

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills as well as proficiency in English and the local language;

  • Proficiency in MS Office; donor management systems and dashboard reporting;

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Good analytical skills to assist in monitoring fundraising campaigns/programmes.
