Job Summary

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Systems Management: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, and backup power systems, including ICT systems & ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, and local standards.
  • Plumbing & Drainage Systems: Supervise the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems, including Water supply, sewerage, stormwater & water storage. Ensure the correct integration of pumps, valves, pressure systems, and backflow preventers in line with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local plumbing codes.
  • Lead the execution and quality control of MEP works, ensuring all electrical and plumbing systems are installed per the approved drawings, specifications, and the project schedule.
  • Coordination & Integration: Liaise with mechanical and civil teams to ensure smooth coordination between all MEP systems, ensuring proper clearance, space management, and system integration.
  • Rehabilitation Works: Oversee the rehabilitation of existing electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring that upgrades and replacements meet current building codes and operational needs. Provide recommendations on optimizing system performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • System Testing & Commissioning: Supervise testing and commissioning processes for electrical and plumbing systems. Ensure all systems are fully operational, including performing system performance checks, fault finding, and troubleshooting during installation and after commissioning.
  • Document and report any deviations from project specifications and take corrective actions as necessary. Provide technical support and solutions to field issues.
  • Review and approve all electrical and plumbing submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, switchgear, etc.) and plumbing systems (potable water, waste, drainage, gas, etc.), with rehabilitation and retrofits experience.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and plumbing issues on-site.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute from detailed electrical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Experience with project management software and tools to monitor progress and manage resources.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage both contractors and project teams
  • Perform any other site-related duties, technical assignments, or project responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor/Management to support project objectives and operational requirements.
  • Undertake travel to project sites and other locations, as required, to support site supervision, inspections, coordination meetings, project execution, and organizational needs.
  • Be willing to accept transfers, reassignments, or deployment to different project sites, locations, or business units in accordance with organizational requirements and company policies.

Required Skills

Skills And Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or MEP Engineering with valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration, and certifications in AutoCAD, OSHA/HSE, and MS Project or Primavera are required.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, including site supervision, testing, commissioning, and rehabilitation/retrofit projects.
  • Proven experience in electrical distribution systems, plumbing systems, shop drawing review, technical documentation, contractor management, and testing and commissioning is essential.
  • The role requires proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project, along with strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling, contract administration, quality assurance, risk and cost management, engineering design and project management software, and leadership and team management.
