Responsibilities

You will be Responsible to:

• Demonstrate safe handling and proper use of equipment/supplies
• Provide high quality personalized planned holistic nursing care to all assigned patients
• Administer medication safely, apply knowledge of drug and dosage, and refer to the drug manual and/or pharmacy information as required
• Monitor patients' responses to medication and timely communicate reportable findings
• Counsel and educate in use of electronic monitoring equipment
• Demonstrate efficiency in use of electronic monitoring equipment
• Demonstrate competence in patient assessment and care plan accordingly, and effectively work with multidisciplinary teams
• Perform any other task assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills

Your should have:

• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Nursing with a valid PNC license
• At least one year of nursing experience, preferable at AKUH
• Certification in BLS, CPR, Safe Medication Administration, I/V Canulation, ECG Interpretation and Aspetic Techniques
• Availability for a minimum 32 hours or 4 shifts per month
• Readiness to work at any clinical unit of the hospital as per staffing needs
• Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
• Willingness to sign-off an initial contract of one year and work in all shift duties.
