Job Summary

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Registered Nurse for Aga Khan Medical Center, Booni, Chitral.
Job Responsibilities:
- Bed to bed over for patients, stock, equipment, crash cart, Stocks of the department fridge if present.
- Performs and lead CPR
- Run infusions as per advice of physicians
- Performs role of Team Leader/Assistant Head Nurse in the absence of Head Nurse to run the services for 24hrs
- Supervise New RNs in the orientation to the Unit
- Take additional responsibilities of running a department as a team leader
- Admit and discharge clients as per physician’s request.
- Participate actively in physician’s round and discuss patient’s progress and carry out physician’s request promptly
- Calculates dosage and administers medication and maintains complete patient record/all Nursing documentation
- Arranges blood and administer to the patient safely
- Maintains calculated input and output record
- Sends requested investigations and maintain records
- Enters used item properly in respective document and use hospital supplies and equipment with care.
- Reports to HN/supervisor in case of any problem / complaint / incidents
- Maintains proper documentation/record
- Ensures functioning of technical equipment
- Provide basic surgical and wound care.
- Supports & helps nursing assistants/RNs/RMs/LHVs in performing direct patient care when required.
- Assist In-charge/ Head Nurse and other nursing staff as and when required
- Inform maintenance Department/supervisor in case of any default found in any instrument/equipment
- Perform bed to bed round of the unit when assigned as team leader of the shift
- Manage patients complaints and issues
- Provide relevant health education and teaching to the patients
- Performs head to toe assessment of the assigned patients
- Ensure safety of the patients by monitoring fall risks, medication management, and infection control
Required Skills
Required Skills Education, Experience & Competencies
- 3 years diploma in General nursing, or BScN 4years
- Minimum 1-year experience in relative field
- I/V Cannulation & Medication Administration.
- Well aware of Infection Control & Nursing Protocol.
- Demonstrate knowledge about lactation Management
- ACLS, PALS NRP and BLS certified
- Having advanced critical care skills
