Job Summary

ITREBP is mandated to impart an understanding of the essential principles of Ismaili Tariqah within the broader context of Islam as a whole through a comprehensive Religious Education Ta’lim Curriculum, developed by the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS), London, UK.

ITREBP invites applications for the role of Regional Academic Coordinator, ITREB for Hunza. The position reports to the Area Manager GB. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing long and short term planning and strategies for the region; the quality assurance and enhancement of programmatic interventions; achieving effective staff deployment, staff motivation and their development. S/He will also play a lead role in programme budgeting and planning; ensuring effective implementation of the approved programmes and policies, and achievement of the targets set by the ITREB for Pakistan.

The ideal candidate should be a dynamic, energetic and committed educational leader and a key team player with the ability to forge partnerships build trust and command respect, having a commitment to the ideals and ethos of the Jamati institutions and AKDN. S/He should be a strategic thinker, a proactive person, able to develop a strong team with effective people management, negotiation, analytical and financial skills. The candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu with Age bracket of less than 45 years.

Required Skills

The candidate must have Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership and Management or related field from a recognized university, and 3 – 4 years of Academic and Programme Management, with experience of managing educational and other academic projects. Working experience in the field of Religious Education Centre system is desirable. An understanding of and exposure to the perspectives of the IIS will be an advantage. Please Note: No relocation will be offered.

ITREBP offers competitive market-based remuneration with attractive benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience and may not be a limiting factor for the right candidate.
