Job Summary
Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Receptionist based at Aga Khan Diagnostic Center, Jutial, Gilgit.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensures patients are registered correctly and promptly.
- Create complete patient profiles and MR cards
- Receive cash from patients/clients and provide computerized receipts
- Direct patients for OPD as per requirement
- Ensure Inpatient and outpatient billing and Patient admission and collecting advance from the patients.
- Intimate concern panel for approval of panel clients.
- Submit inpatient record file to medical record room and present file at the time of readmission from record room.
- Receive phone calls and provide information to clients related to services.
- Deposit cash in bank on daily basis and share cash summary and deposit slip with finance.
- Fill the forms diligently / signed by patients/attendants on documents
- Adhere to policies and procedures in patient services department as per tasks performed.
- Monitor the clients in waiting area as well as in reception area for security purposes, however, if any unpleasant situation happens then report to the Administrator in mean time
- Maintain the OPD register and record all the daily patient flow
- Prepare all patient files and filling the patient screening cards
- Ensure stationary availability for all the patients’ records
- Submit the cash to the Admin/Finance person on daily basis and to report with reconciliation sheet. in case of shortage of cash relevant staff is responsible for this shortage and excess cash will be submit to finance person of the concern unit.
- Ensures proper charging of cash payment, or credit card paying patients and receipts issued for all payments
Required Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.com, BBA or relevant Degree
- 1 year experience, experience in Reception or front desk management with computer knowledge will be preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written)
- Possesses adequate professional knowledge and practical skills of his / her job
- She /He has the ability to handle complex tasks and to meet challenges
- Possesses polite and positive attitude
