Job Summary

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures at the site, ensure all works are executed in compliance with project specifications and approved drawings, conduct inspections at key stages of construction (pre-, during, and post-execution), identify non-conformances (NCRs), and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Material Inspection & Testing: Inspect incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications, coordinate material testing (lab and field tests) as per standards, maintain records of test results and approvals, and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
  • Site Inspection & Monitoring: Carry out regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality, monitor critical construction activities such as concrete works, reinforcement, and finishes, witness key tests at site, and verify results.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test reports, and checklists, prepare daily and weekly quality reports, track and close NCRs and observations, and ensure proper record-keeping for audits and donor requirements
  • Coordination & Compliance: Coordinate with Site Engineers and contractors to ensure quality compliance, assist the Resident Engineer in quality-related decision-making, participate in consultant/client inspections, and ensure adherence to regulatory and project-specific quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring quality issues, recommend improvements, and support training of site staff on quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills

Skills And Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with registration from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in QA/QC for construction projects.
  • The role requires sound knowledge of QA/QC procedures and standards, MS Office (Excel, Word), Basic AutoCAD knowledge, familiarity with QA/QC documentation systems, Strong analytical and inspection skills, and understanding of material testing and construction quality benchmarks.
