Qari - ITREB for Lower Chitral (Parabeg Local Board)

Job Summary

ITREBP is mandated to impart an understanding of the essential principles of Ismaili Tariqah within the broader context of Islam as a whole through a comprehensive Religious Education Curriculum, developed by the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS), London, UK for the global Ismaili Community.

Roles And Responsibilities

• ITREB, Pakistan invites applications for the position of Qari.
• The successful candidate will be tasked with planning and conducting Qur’an Nazirah and Tajweed-e-Qur’an, as well as Manqabat/Qaseeda training programs for teachers at RECs.
• Additionally, the Qari will be responsible for leading Namaz-e-Eidain, Jinaza, and Nikah ceremonies, as well as cultivating voluntary human resources and making regular visits to RECs.
• In line with Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct, the position holds a shared responsibility to protect children and adults-at-risk from harm, exploitation, neglect, and abuse.
• The role requires a high level of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and respect for professional boundaries at all times.

Skills And Qualifications

• The applicant should have a graduation degree with 2–3 year of relevant experience.
• The position also requires basic understanding in Arabic language and excellent command on Tajweed and Qur’an recitation (Tilawat).
• Basic computer skills with experience in Urdu typing is desired.
• Preference will be given to those who have Qir’at skills.
• Age bracket of 25 to 45 years.
• The position holder will be based in Parabeg local board, however, will travel to other LBs in the region as per the institutional needs.

Note: Candidates who belong to Parabeg and Garamchasma Locals will be eligible and considered for further process.  However, preference will be given to candidates from Parabeg Local.
