Job Summary:

The Publishing Coordinator supports the end-to-end publishing process by managing production timelines, coordinating editorial workflows, overseeing vendor communication, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure titles are delivered on time and meet Liberty Publishing’s quality standards.

Core Responsibilities1. Printing & Production Management

  • Coordinate the printing and production process from file submission to final delivery.
  • Liaise with printers on quotations, specifications, approvals, schedules, and deliveries.
  • Oversee dummy approvals, review copies, and final production quality checks.
  • Resolve production issues while maintaining timelines and quality standards.

2. Editorial & Manuscript Coordination

  • Review, proofread, and coordinate manuscripts through editorial stages.
  • Ensure corrections, approvals, and final edits are completed before production.
  • Track manuscript movement between editorial stakeholders.

3. Workflow & Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Act as the communication link between editorial, design, marketing, warehouse, and production teams.
  • Ensure timely communication of deadlines, approvals, and project updates.
  • Support smooth workflow execution and prevent process delays.

4. Vendor & Cost Coordination

  • Obtain and compare vendor quotations based on quality, pricing, and timelines.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain vendor and production records.
  • Track production costs and maintain accurate title-wise cost breakdowns.

5. Inventory, Pricing & Metadata Coordination

  • Coordinate inventory updates and pricing approvals for published titles.
  • Ensure accurate metadata, pricing, and title details for website and sales platform listings.

6. Marketing & Promotional Coordination

  • Support the marketing team with title information, promotional materials, and campaign coordination.
  • Ensure timely sharing of covers, blurbs, author bios, and publication details.
  •  Assist in promotional activities for launches and campaigns.

7. Author & Industry Relations

  • Maintain professional communication with authors, vendors, and publishing partners.
  • Support external coordination while upholding Liberty Publishing’s standards and brand image.

Additional Responsibilities1. Event Support

o Assist with book launches, literary festivals, seminars, and publishing events.

2. Documentation & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, approvals, and project documentation.

3. Ad-hoc Responsibilities

  • Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Publishing Manager to support departmental objectives.
