Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations.
  • Diagnose psychiatric disorders in accordance with the DSM-5.
  • Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages based on efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management.
  • Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric emergency management when necessary.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care physicians, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure all medical records and clinical documentation meet legal and ethical standards.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program.
  • Valid, unrestricted state medical license
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • 2 to 4 years of post-residency clinical experience.
