Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations.
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders in accordance with the DSM-5.
- Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages based on efficacy and side effects.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management.
- Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric emergency management when necessary.
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care physicians, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure all medical records and clinical documentation meet legal and ethical standards.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program.
- Valid, unrestricted state medical license
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- 2 to 4 years of post-residency clinical experience.
