Job Summary

The position is critical for the development and maintenance of AKU public facing website as well as AKU employee portal on MS SharePoint technology. The target audience and users of these sites are located in different geographic locations hence a thorough understanding of the organizational structure and good communication skills are an added advantage. Apart from this the position shall be responsible for development of mobile apps using cross-platform development.

Specifically, you will be responsible to;

• experience in the field of software development preferably on MS technologies
• expected to analyze, program and maintain the AKU website’s Portal and all its sub-sites
• need to work as a member of a team involved in business analysis of user requirements, solution implementation, quality assurance, and impact analysis and code optimization
• provide T2/T3 support for SharePoint implementations
• proactively identify improvement areas and take steps to optimize the implementations. 

Required Skills

• degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, Masters in Computer Science would be preferred
• strong fundamentals of Object-oriented programming
• be conversant with data modeling and analysis techniques
• able to write queries and stored procedures
• hands-on software development experience
• be able to document procedural issues related to applications
• have adequate inter-personal skills to communicate with departmental users
• able to influence internal customers on technical limitations and propose workarounds/possible solutions
• work in a team for the operations, support & enhancements of AKU websites
• work in a team for AKU Employee portal revamp project
• work on the vision of mobile app development
• gather business requirements and propose & agree on solutions with the customer
• support existing .Net applications.
