Job Summary

CDF is seeking applicants for the position of Program Officer TKN, based at the Head Office in Karachi.

Program Officer - TKN will be responsible for facilitating operational and functional activities regarding the placement of Volunteers at Institutions under the TKN endeavor. The position will directly report to Assistant Manager TKN.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the Volunteer Recruitment Cycle for all the TORs/ requests received from institutions at all levels; National, Regional, and Local level and also AKDN institutions.

  • Develop and collaborate with Councils/ Institutions to identify volunteers' needs and place them at the right place where their skill set matches.

  • Liaison and coordinate with the National, Regional, and Local teams to communicate strategies, their implementation, execution, and way forward.

  • Manage the database management system of TKN volunteers. Timely update the TKN profile as and when received.

  • Develop and maintain TKN Dashboards on a quarterly basis to be shared with regions and locals.

  • Generating various reports for the Central Office, Institutions, and National Council on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and on-need basis.

  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to staff and volunteers. Assign them tasks, train them, and monitor their performances.

  • Managing all the administrative and financial matters related to the TKN Office.

  • Timely follow-ups with the Councils and Institutions to keep track of the timelines of the assignments.

  • Arranging quarterly meetings with the Regions/Institutions to share their status/ performance and discuss strategies and the way forward.

  • Sharing TOR (Terms of References) to TCO (TKN Coordinating Office) in Toronto Canada for further approval.

  • Maintain effective coordination with TCO for matters where discussions and approvals are required.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with TKN volunteers.

Required Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Master’s degree (at least 16 years of education) from HEC recognized university.

  • At least one year of work experience.

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Awareness of HR functions preferably with recruitment.

  • Must be able to compile and draft reports.

  • Must have the ability to multitask and to accomplish tasks under pressure with stringent deadlines.

  • Must have good interpersonal and coordination skills with the ability to work well in team

  • Having command in using MS Office applications is a must.

  • Strong motivational skills and experience with community work.

  • Willingness to travel within Pakistan.

  • Willingness to work on any additional task as assigned by the Management.

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills are crucial for this position.

  • Requires a flexible schedule to accommodate a non-traditional work week, including some evenings and weekends.
