Job Summary

The Program Officer is tasked with overseeing and coordinating a range of program activities and initiatives in partnership with local, regional, and national teams. They will assume responsibility for program management, including conducting field monitoring and generating reports to track progress and assess the impact on stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with program teams, volunteers, and partners at National, Regional and Local levels to design and implement relevant programs.
  • Coordinate program requests received from the regional/local program offices and team members.
  • Implement current and planned programs/ initiatives through staff and local volunteers.
  • Assist in preparing work plans and budgets.
  • Assist in liaising with community members and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular feedback to regional/local program teams and operation on ongoing programs.
  • Ensure that system and processes are in place for database management in order to properly track all aspects of each program.
  • Facilitate in maintaining MIS of all the beneficiaries who have participated in the programs and interventions,
  • Ensure implementation of the developed systems and mechanisms at regional and local levels.
  • Prepare consolidation, monthly and periodic analytical reports on overview of programs, programmatic outcomes and recommendations for Manager Operations and all stakeholders.
  • Perform field surveys and monitoring activities to ensure the effective monitoring and evaluation of all programs and trainings. Share the findings with regional and local program teams to facilitate necessary adjustments in future planning.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Portfolio Manager or Head of Operations.

Required Skills

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the social or development sector.
  • Strong motivational skills and experience with community activism.
  • Problem solving skills and willingness to work around obstacles both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize work and co-ordinate several programs.
  • Ability to work in teams and with people from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and command over English and Urdu.
  • Fair competence and comfort level with use of computers and basic internet applications.
  • A strong understanding of and respect for social ethics and other core values, including equality, fairness, diversity, participation, creativity, humility and respect.
  • Having experience in working with data analytical/statistical software will be an advantage. 
  • Willingness to work on any additional task as assigned by the Portfolio Manager or Head of Operations.

Academic Credentials

  • Have a Master’s degree in Social Science, Economics, Development Studies or Business Administration.

Language Proficiency

  • Strong communication skills in English and Urdu (both oral and written).

Travel and Schedule

  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and travel within Pakistan.
