Job Summary
Job Purpose:
The Program Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of program activities, ensuring timely delivery of results in line with approved plans, budgets, and donor requirements. The role focuses on coordinating teams, managing implementation challenges, and maintaining program quality and accountability. This position requires a significant amount of interaction with internal and external resources including but not limited to staff, volunteers, vendors, contractors, participants, regional and national partners and the general public.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop program vision, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational strategy.
- Design program structure, timelines, and delivery framework.
- Define measurable outcomes and success indicators.
- Implement program activities according to approved work plans and timelines.
- Oversee day-to-day execution of program activities.
- Coordinate with portfolio members, implementing teams, partners, consultants, and vendors.
- Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations.
- Develop annual program plans and calendars.
- Troubleshoot implementation challenges.
- Supervise coaches, instructors, facilitators, and coordinators.
- Ensure discipline, professionalism, and safeguarding compliance.
- Supervise and support program staff to ensure effective performance.
- Prepare program budgets in coordination with board members.
- Monitor program progress against targets and indicators.
- Develop monitoring tools and tracking systems.
- Collect and analyze program data (attendance, performance, impact).
- Measure outcomes against defined KPIs.
- Recommend improvements based on evaluation findings.
- Prepare program progress reports for KSRC board and stakeholders.
- Support programmatic budget monitoring and ensure proper use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safeguarding standards.
- Maintain program documentation and contribute to learning and improvement.
- Contribute to financial reporting for management and stakeholders.
- Respond to queries from internal and external auditors.
- Support audit and governance processes.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, sports management, social sciences or a relevant field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in program management preferably in sports & youth development programs, community development initiatives, NGO or social sector organization.
- Proven experience in program planning, implementation, evaluation or project management.
- Experience working with teams and multiple stakeholders.
